Athletics Carnival 2017

Matraville Sports High School held their Athletics Carnival for 2017 on Wednesday 3rd of May at Hensley Athletic Field.

The rain did not scare off many of the competitors as we had to run the 200m and 100m finals in quite heavy rain. The final race of the day was the much anticipated teacher v student 4 x 100m relay, which was a thrilling event won by a student. 

In the end, the points were tallied and the scores were as follows; 3^rd place was the Kenny House on 343 points, 2^nd place went to the Ella House on 493 points and the eventual winners was the Fairfax House on 599 points. Congratulations to the Fairfax House.

We have a strong squad of over 40 students that will compete at the Zone Athletics Carnival. Our students have showcased an impressive level of athletics ability and some will compete in multiple events. Congratulations to all the students that have made it to the next level of competition.
