Homework is often a revision of what is covered in class. As well as regular weekly homework, your child may have assessments such as assignments or projects with due dates.
A key to success is being organised. To avoid Thursday night meltdowns about incomplete homework, read our homework tips.
These tips are relevant for all students Kindergarten to Year 12.
Together with UNSW education students, Matraville Sports High School runs an after-school homework centre on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon until 4pm. Students receive assistance with their homework, including upcoming assessment tasks.
The Homework Centre is a great opportunity for students to spend quality time on their homework in an environment that is supportive and friendly.

We would like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the Saltwater Aboriginal people of Coastal Sydney, the descendants who make up the La Perouse Aboriginal community today. We thank and respect the Elders for they hold the traditions, cultures, hopes and dreams for this land we gather on today. Education is the key to success that opens to a brighter future. Therefore, we should all strive to use our knowledge at Matraville Sports High School to become the leaders of today and in the future.
